A Note From Daisy
I describe myself as a highly expressive person. I started writing journals when I was a teen and still doing it. I enjoy writing, photography, gardening, painting, music, etc. Throughout my life, I spoke up or expressed my thoughts regardless of whether it is in life situations, school, or at work. The implications were not always rosy, and it created doubts about right or wrong questions. But slowly I was able to own all my life decisions fully during the Covid pandemic since it provided us with a time of reflection.
During the pandemic, I took-up a painting brush in my hands for the first time in 20 years. I wanted to express what matters to me most in life. Drawing this took me months since I felt like I am drawing what is lying very deep in my heart. It felt like a culmination point of a deep journey throughout the years. There were a lot of failures, tears, disappointments, humiliations, and joys as well. I named it “The Core” and that is the message I am giving with Core of a Leader. Learning psychological theories, coaching principles, and expressive art coaching also helped in shaping the structure of TRU Color Methodology to solve problems. Truly speaking, I wish I had this tool earlier in my life when I had to take difficult decisions.
My expressions – 'The Core' and the poem about it.
The Core
My core
The center of my being
Is protected
From the glitters of the outer world
From the pollutants of mind
With the powers from the world of light.
That world of light
Holds people who care about me
Holds my loved ones
Holds my gifts, achievements, and assets
Holds my memories and experiences
Which fuels the fire
For the flame of inner strength
Which embeds the spirit of my existence.
